Borough House is a character 17th Century holiday cottage which can spaciously accommodate groups of family or friends of up to seven guests.  It is located in the very heart of the old town of Whitby in a quaint little alley and just a stones throw from the shops, pubs, restaurants and the beach.

The holiday cottage provides spacious accommodation split over four floors and it retains much original character with exposed beams, open fireplaces and lovely oak floors.  Whilst full of character and charm, it also provides modern facilities to ensure your holiday is comfortable and relaxing.

Whiby is reported to be one of the most picturesque ports in the country with its pretty harbour set in the mouth of the River Esk.   The town is a maze of narrow alleys and quaint little streets that slowly meander their way down to the bustling quayside which offers many interesting little shops selling crafts and antiques.  Dominated by the ruins of the Abbey on the cliffs, the town has one of the finest Anglo Saxon churches in England with its churchyard being the inspiration behind the classic novel Dracula.  For those who enjoy history, The Captain Cook Memorial Museum is well worth a visit and this vibrant town offers the perfect location for a holiday by the sea where you can enjoy activities such a fishing trips by boat from the pier.  

The North York Moors National Park is within easy reach and provides a quiet, unspoilt area which is ideal for walking or touring.   There are also numerous attractions and places of interest to visit and Scarborough is within driving distance.
