Melrose Cottage sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms (plus cot) and is a charming holiday cottage located in the quiet village of Fylingthorpe, close to the ancient and popular fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay within the North Yorkshire Moors.
The location is equally perfect for those looking for active or relaxing holidays and Melrose Cottage is generously and comfortably equipped for all ages.
Fylingthorpe is five miles from the ancient sea port of Whitby and sixteen miles from Scarborough. It is a great base for scenic walks or cycling, visits to local attractions or just peace and quiet.
Robin Hoods Bay with its maze of tiny streets and history in smuggling, is just half a mile from Melrose Cottage and can be easily walked within ten to fifteen minutes whilst taking in the stunning views over the bay to Ravenscar and Stoupe Brow.
Fylingthorpe has a shop with a good range of supplies, a butchers and bakers, a Methodist Church and a pub and Robin Hood's Bay offers a wide selection of places to eat.
The Scarborough-Whitby bus stops in the village, making this a suitable holiday destination by the sea for those who want to leave the car at home.

Melrose Cottage is the first in a row of four south-facing cottages, positioned off a quiet rural lane. The cottage can accommodate up to four guests plus a baby in a cot and provides the following facilities:
Downstairs has a porch, sitting room and large kitchen with dining area. Fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave are provided.
Upstairs has one double and one twin bedroom, and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. For children's safety there is a door at the foot of the stairs and a stair gate on the landing.
Outside: The cottage has a garden with seating and a washing line, which catches the sun most of the day.
Additional information: The cottage benefits from full central heating. Gas and electricity are included. All bedding and towels are provided. A high chair, travel cot and other items can also be provided - please speak to the owners. There is fixed and wireless internet access; please bring your own laptop. Easy on-street parking next to the cottage. Strictly no smoking or pets.
