East Farm Country Cottages provide three cosy holiday cottages that are located in a peaceful location just minutes from Scarborough and the Heritage Coast.

The cottages are maintained and presented in the traditional style to maintain the"country cottage" feel and are located in a picturesque valley within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. They have a garden with a seating area which has beautiful southerly views over rolling wooded countryside and there is parking adjacent to each cottage with space for two cars.

All three holiday cottages are single storey with no steps or stairs and each cottage sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms (one double and one twin + a cot is available). There is a strict no smoking policy and two of the three cottages welcome well behaved pets by prior arrangement. Cottage three is kept strictly pet free.

The village of Scalby is a short distance away from the cottages and offers a newsagent, general store, cafe and two public houses. Its village church dates back to 1180 and is well worth a visit - the stained glass and lych gate being fine examples. There are many lovely walks around the village and the banks of the Sea Cut provide an interesting and level walk.

Derwent Valley and the Hamlet of Hackness are nearby and just two miles away, offering more beautiful scenery that leads to the North Riding Forest Park. Also in easy reach is the popular moorland village of Goathland - made famous as the village of "Aidensfield" in "Heartbeat".

East Farm Country Cottages have a hill side position and are reached down a private country lane. The cottage garden has panoramic views of what is acknowledged as Scarborough's prettiest area. They are ideal to use as a base from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the beauty of the National Heritage Coastline and the many local bridleways and footpaths.
