Half Moon Cottage sleeps two guests and is one of three single storey thatched cottages in the grounds of the owner's home. The cottages are just half a mile from shops, pub, golf course, cafe, hotel and one mile from the sandy beach and railway station. Whilst the owners are close enough to be of assistance should you require anything – your privacy would be respected at all times.
The cottage is furnished and equipped to a high standard and offers many little extras to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday.
West Runton is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful north Norfolk coastline with its market towns, woodlands and pretty villages. You only need to step outside the front door to have access to acres of National Trust woodland, providing a wonderful walker's paradise. Located between the coast on one side and acres of National Trust woodland on the other, there are marked paths to allow you to walk to both Cromer and Sheringham.
There is a railway station in the centre of the village which runs a service to the City of Norwich calling at Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads, Sheringham and Cromer. Not only does this allow you to explore the area's most popular towns (Sheringham and Holt) without having to use the car but it also allows you to sit back and enjoy some of Norfolk’s most beautiful countryside.

We had a fabulous week in Half Moon Cottage with such unexpected sunny weather almost all week. Sea palling is well worth a visit for its immaculate endless beach. We took the stream train from Sheringham to Holt which was lovely. Tonight we walked the back lane from the cottage down to West Runton Beach to photograph the sunset – just 30 mins away and magical. Half Moon has been the perfect base with so much to do so close – many thanks for everything.
