Dating back three hundred years, this old thatched holiday cottage is located within the pretty little seaside village of Sea Palling, on the East Norfolk coastline. It was once apparently used by HM Customs and Excise as a look-out for smugglers and today provides holiday accommodation for up to four guests in two bedrooms.
Perfectly located down a very quiet, single-track no through road, the cottage is just a ten minute walk to the beach which is one of the most beautiful in Norfolk, holding Blue Flag award status for several years.
Sea Palling is home to two pubs, a Post Office, cafes, an amusement arcade, a general store, farm shop and a stall which sells fresh locally caught fish - why not pick some up and take home for a special fish supper!
The market town of Stalham, at the northern end of the Norfolk Broads is four miles away and Wroxham and the City of Norwich are both within easy driving distance (there is also a regular direct bus service going to both during the week from the village). Great Yarmouth and Cromer are too within easy reach and just fifteen miles away.
For those interested in wildlife and nature, there is the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve at Hickling (four miles) and RSPB reserves easily reached by car. Alternatively, stay locally and try and spot the wildlife where a walk along the beach towards Waxham and Horsey may well be rewarded with a sighting of seals!
