Spennithorne Cottage offers a peaceful retreat where guests are able to enjoy uninterrupted tranquility amid unspoilt, beautiful countryside.
The area is a haven for wildlife and the absence of light pollution allows guests to enjoy the lovely clear night skies.
Formerly a farm building, Spennithorne Cottage has recently been converted to a very high standard and has received a 4 star gold rating from VisitBritain. It sits within the delightful seven acre grounds of High Green Farm which is surrounded by Norfolk farmland.
This is an ideal base for walking the many local and long distance footpaths; cycling the quiet country lanes; bird watching at the renowned RSPB and NWT reserves on the coast, or exploring the many attractions and places of interest that Norfolk has to offer.
The small village of Stanfield with its 12th century church is close to the towns of Dereham, Swaffham and Fakenham, each with a weekly market and good selection of shops and amenities. A wide range of produce is also available from local farm shops.
The North Norfolk coast, Norwich and Kings Lynn are less than twenty miles away and The Norfolk Broads, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are too within easy reach.
This is a genuine rural retreat that is suitable for family or friends who want to holiday together and special enough for a romantic holiday for two. There are many acres of woodland, parks and gardens that are open to the public along with several important bird reserves in the area. Other attractions include sites of historical interest, working farms, craft centres and workshops, steam railways and a wide range of museums, galleries and collections.

Set well back from a quiet country lane and tastefully furnished, the holiday accommodation is all on one level, non smoking and benefits from central heating throughout via radiators.
Accommodation comprises:
Bedroom One: King-size bed and en suite wetroom.
Bedroom Two: Available with King-size or twin beds. En suite bathroom, bath with shower over. Both bedrooms are comfortably furnished with quality bed linen and towels provided.
Kitchen: Well planned and fitted with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a comprehensive range of cooking utensils and crockery.
Lounge / Dining Room: Comfortably furnished with leather sofas, television, DVD, CD player and an extending dining table which comfortably seats four people.
Laundry room with automatic washing machine, drying space, iron and ironing board.
Outside: The grounds of High Green Farm are private and enclosed and guests are welcome to explore or relax in all parts of the garden and grounds at their leisure. The gardens, which catch the sun all day, are beautifully designed and maintained incorporating extensive flower beds and a large fish pond. There is a network of paths with seating around the fields, natural pond and an orchard. An area is set aside for outside games and equipment for badminton, volley ball and boules is provided.
Additional information: There is storage for bicycles or other equipment. Barbecue and garden furniture are provided for dining and relaxing outdoors. The cottage has dedicated parking for two vehicles. A Welcome Pack of basic items is provided and the owners are also happy to shop for you prior to your arrival by arrangement. Prices are for the property and include heating, electricity, bed linen and towels. Discounts for couples during the off peak season and short breaks in the peak season may be possible - please enquire with the owner.
Accessibility: Wheel chair users and those with limited mobility may wish to note that the property is on one level with no steps to negotiate. The wetroom to bedroom one will accommodate a wheelchair if required.
