Located in the small village of Minstead, just three miles north of Lyndhurst (the 'Capitial' of the Forest) is this double bedded holiday cottage that is located within the garden of the village shop in the heart of the village. With shower room, separate living room and kitchenette, this is a very private and peaceful location that is set in its own small garden, providing an ideal location for a couple who wish to escape the ‘rat race’.
The shop serves a good selection of provisions and is situated on the village green and within walking distance of the village pub, serving excellent food and the village church.
The accommodation is ideally situated to explore the forest on foot, cycle or horseback with plenty of local walks and cycle routes suited to all ages and ability. Cycle hire is also available from the shop if you do not want to bring your own bike (there is secure bike storage if you do). There are golf courses at Bramshaw, Paultons, Lyndhurst, Wellow, Romsey and Dunwood.
Lyndhurst is a must for any visitor and offers a wide range of shops, pubs, the New Forest Museum, tea rooms, cafes and restaurants. It also offers a number of attractions including the Reptile Centre, Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary and Furze Gardens - all pleasant places to visit nearby.
The area offers good road links, giving easy access to London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and the West Country. The nearest beach is around twenty minutes by car and the following popular places are all within easy reach of Minstead: Bournemouth (twenty minutes); Poole (thirty minutes); The Isle of Wight (short ferry journey); Lymington (twenty minutes); Southampton (twenty minutes); Salisbury (twenty minutes); Winchester (thirty minutes) and Portsmouth (forty minutes).
Beaulieu Palace and The Motor Museum is also closeby, as is Paultons Park and Exbury Gardens and there are acres of beautiful forest, abundant with wildlife and pretty villages just waiting to be explored.

Additional information: Price includes linen, towels, electricity, coffee and tea making facilities, free cycle storage, free parking, complimentary newspaper, complimentary grocery welcome pack upon arrival. Pets accepted by arrangement at no extra charge. Washing machine facilities available on request. There is also free parking and secure cycle storage available.
Access: The accommodation is all on one floor with no steps to negotiate, thus meaning it may be suitable for people with limited mobility. Please discuss your personal requirements with the owner before booking to ensure it meets your personal needs both inside and out.
Prices: 1st May to 30th September - £395 per week, £210 for 3 nights or £75 per night. 1st October to 30th April - £355 per week, £170 for 3 nights or £60 per night.
