Hurstly Cottage 1 is a perfect holiday retreat set deep into a pretty and secluded garden at the edge of the New Forest. Ideal for Romantic getaways or family holidays.
It has been sympathestically extended and renovated and is in excellent decorative order throughout with huge comfortable beds and stylish furniture. This sunny cottage is a real luxury home away from home fully equipped with everything needed for a fantastic holiday or family gathering.
Accessed by private driveway off a country lane, this spacious yet cosy cottage has all the privacy one could wish for whilst being only a few minutes drive from both Lymington and Brockenhurst.
Leaving the house on foot, you can wander down the lane to the river in Royden Woods, or walk out to the open heath, with its wild ponies and cattle. There is a good pub ‘The Hobler’ just a short walk away and three others also within walking distance - all serving great food.
This is a perfect base in the forest to spend a holiday where you are only minutes from the sea with beaches, yacht charter, fishing expeditions and half hourly ferry links to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight and Hurst Castle.

Upstairs - sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms:
Bedroom one – Spacious master bedroom with a super king bed which can be made into two singles and overlooks the front garden.
Bedroom two – Super king bed which can be made into 2 singles overlooking the front garden.
Bedroom three – Two full sized single beds overlooking the wood.
Bedroom four – has a large single bed which can be extend to a full king size, overlooking the wood.
Family Bathroom with WC, washbasin, bath and separate shower.
All bedrooms have plenty of hanging and storage space.
Downstairs:
Country kitchen with wooden floor and dresser – a spacious room with both an Aga (turned off during the summer) and a gas cooker, along with a dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and glasses and everything you would need for family and guest entertaining.
Adjoining breakfast room with table and chairs. Land line telephone for local calls.
Snug – cosy sitting room with open fireplace, TV and DVD player, lots of children’s games and a large book library.
Dining Room with a large dining table which expands to seat ten to twelve guests, wood burner. This leads down two steps into…
Main sitting room which has three large comfortable sofas, stereo, TV and DVD player and leads out through French windows into the South facing garden.
Second bathroom with a large shower, WC and basin.
Laundry room with washer, dryer and ironing facilities.
Lobby with hanging space for coats and wellies.
Additional information: Bed linenand towels are provided. Gas, electricity and logs are included . One well behaved dog is welocme in the downstairs areas only.
Outside - There is a large sized gas fired barbecue, and patio with rustic outside tables and chairs. The lovely gardens extend all the way down to lane giving various areas for lazing and playing. There is plenty of space for three or more cars/ trailers, boats etc. The garden is relatively dog and child proof!
