End Cottage is adelightful three bedroom spacious 16th Century thatched holiday cottage that is located in the heart of the New Forest and close to Lymington and Lyndhurst.
With circular walks right from the front door, End Cottage provides the perfect place to unwind and relax and is an ideal base from which to explore the New Forest either by foot, bike, horse or car.
Sleeping up to seven guests in three bedrooms, End Cottage has much to offer all year around with traditional English pubs and restaurants within a short walk, stunning views over a wooded valley, and a whole host of outdoor activities to enjoy including clay pigeon shooting, cycling, walking, fishing, golf and sailing. Alternatively just relaxing on the patio and soak up the views and the atmosphere.
Set in private gardens in a secluded location, End Cottage is an ideal choice for a relaxing family holiday or romantic break. It is perfectly placed within the open forest in Emery Down and close to all the amenities of Lyndhurst 'the capital of the Forest'. Here you have the opportunity to pamper yourself at either Balmer Lawn Hotel in Brockenhurst or The Chewton Glen recently voted "The Best Hotel in Britain", both being only a fifteen minute drive away from the cottage. The New Forest Inn is just two hundred yards away, where you can enjoy superb food and ale.
Why not leave the car at End Cottage and take advantage of several circular walks in The New Forest, passing the front door and taking in traditional country pubs and restaurants where you can gain refreshments! The new Lyndhurst walk of just over thirteen kilometres goes straight past the door and includes four pubs on route! Alternatively explore the area by bike and take a cycle ride from the cottage to Brockenhurst or Bolderwood, without having to drive at all.
The New Forest village of Lyndhurst, with it's golf course, host of local shops and pubs and bike hire is only a fifteen minute walk away. A ten minute drive will take you to Brockenhurst which has cycle trails and hire shops, along with miles of dedicated cycle tracks and maps that will take you through stunning forests and idyllic villages. Take a day trip to the Isle of Wight with one of the local boat operators in Lymington (thirty minutes away) or browse Lymingtons busy Saturday street market, antique shops and picturesque harbour. Beaulieu provides lots to keep you occupied whatever the weather with it's famous Motor Museum and historic house or enjoy a leisurely day strolling around Exbury Gardens.
Whether you enjoy long, short or arduous walks; swimming (indoor and out), picnics, fishing, fly-fishing, shopping, horse riding, golf or slow country drives - The New Forest has something for everyone.

This beautiful thatched cottage has been sympathetically restored and extended to provide the following accommodation and facilities:

Lounge with feature fireplace and wood burning stove, door from the front porch, access to enclosed stairs to first floor. TV and DVD home cinema surround sound system.
Dining room, open plan with table for six.
Kitchen which is fully fitted incorporating a dual fuel range cooker, micro wave, fridge and freezer.
Breakfast bar and breakfast area.
Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Conservatory with double doors to garden, fully double glazed with blinds to windows and roof, radiators for sitting out on chilly evenings with comfortable seating for five.
Shower room with enclosure, basin and WC.
First floor
Double bedroom with large window and views over the valley.
Second double bedroom with a view over the garden and forest.
Twin bedroom with two single beds and a stowaway bed to accommodate another child/small adult.
Bathroom with feature roll top bath, WC and basin.
Outside: Enclosed front garden, street parking to the front. Front and side gardens (please note however that the gardens are not fenced along the boundary with the sheep pasture and any pets must be controlled at all times). Sunny terrace with garden furniture. Please note that BBQ's are strictly forbidden at the property; insurance does not allow open fires within 100m of the thatch.
