The Red Lion is a quintessential New Forest village pub, located in the lovely village of Boldre which offers a character holiday apartment above, which is available for a holiday or short break. The apartment offers exclusive residence of the first floor and provides accommodation for up to four guests in one bedroom - ideal for couples, small families or friends who want to holiday together.
Located within the New Forest, The Red Lion is situated close to the market town of Lymington, a yachting haven with good selection of eating establishments and independent shops (including some of the well known names) lining its quaint cobbled streets. From here you can take the ferry to the Isle of Wight for lunch.
Boldre is an exceptionally pretty New Forest village and makes a wonderful base from which to explore the Hampshire countryside and coastline. At the end of each day, you can return home to the attractive village setting and enjoy a nice meal and refreshment at the pub, either in the cosy beamed rooms with log fires, or outside in the pretty garden. Then slip away upstairs to your private apartment.
Located between the forest and the sea, Boldre makes a wonderful base for those who enjoy walking, horse riding, cycling and sailing. It is ideal for exploring the New Forest's many attractions including its pretty villages with quintessential thatched cottages and open heathland where ponies, donkeys and cattle graze.
For those wanting to travel a little further afield, the whole of Hampshire is easily accessible as is Dorset and the beaches of the South Coast.

The accommodation retains much of its 15th Century character and comprises:
Spacious sitting room with view over the village lane along with leather sofa beds, table and chairs, LCD television, DVD player and stereo.
Double bedroom with exposed beams and a view over the village lanes. There is also a vanity unit with washbasin and built in wardrobe along with an LCD television.
Bathroom with full sized modern roll top bath, large walk in shower and hand basin.
Separate WC.
Kitchen with fitted white units, electric oven and hob, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, toaster, kettle and adequate crockery, cutlery, glasses and utensils.
Additional information: The entrance is through the patio doors at the top of one flight of stairs which leads into the Hunt Room and there is automatic lighting outside for guests to see at night. This entrance is close to the car park and leads directly to the covered patio area and garden which are available for guests to enjoy at any time. Short breaks are sometimes available, please enquire with the owner. Rates are inclusive of electricity, wireless internet connection and all bedding and linens. Guests have the use of a large car park and secure parking can be arranged for guests if required.

Nirvana! We had 3 days at the Red Lion and ate in the restaurant every night, wich is a recommendation in itself! we arrived late afternoon to be greeted by the charming manager.The apartment could not have beeb better or the bed more comfortable.
