Southport is a peaceful Victorian sea-side town which provides a great base for a holiday with plenty to see and do. It is easily accessible with Liverpool and Manchester International airports within thirty and forty five miles respectively, train connections to Liverpool and Manchester city centres, road links up to the Lakes District or across to the Peaks, and ferry links to Dublin. It is 'golfers heaven' and considered 'England’s Golfing Capital' on the English 'Golf Coast' with the Royal Birkdale Golf Club (where The Open Championship is regularly hosted) and a further five championship-standard courses within just a fifteen minute drive.
Football fans will also appreciate the location, with the world-famous football clubs of Manchester and Liverpool being so close that a number of famous names from the beautiful game, past and present, have settled down here.
The town itself boasts the shopping avenue of Lord Street and the pedestrianised town-centre where you can take a relaxing stroll whilst browsing the shops and stopping for a drink or meal in one of the many cafes and restaurants. Alternatively walk down to the beach across the Marine Way Bridge, along the sea-defenses, out onto the pier, around Marine Lake to watch the sailing and water-skiing, or stroll the manicured gardens and bowls along the Lower Promenade.
For the nature lovers amongst you, there are twenty two miles of coastline with the marshes (renowned for bird-watching) and plenty of beaches with large sand dunes (inhabited by the endangered Sand Lizard, Natterjack Toad and Great Crested Newt) and nearby are Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and the Formby Red Squirrel reserve.
The newly-completed leisure-centre provides safe but thrilling water-slides for all ages, and if you’re wanting a bit more thrill then Blackpool is just up the coastline with a number of roller-coasters which are sure to get the adrenaline pumping!
Theatre buffs will enjoy the productions at the Southport Theatre, Floral Hall, Little Theatre, and the bigger Liverpool and Manchester theatres just a short drive or train-journey away.
Southport hosts many world-famous events throughout the year, including the Southport Air Show, Flower Show, Food & Drink Festival, International Jazz Festival, Summer Classics and the British Musical Fireworks Championships.
With plenty to see and do, this comfortable detached holiday home stands just 300 yards from the beach and is very close (approximately one mile) from many amenities. Whether you’re here for golf, travel, sport, relaxation or business, you will be well-catered for in this property.

The house itself is kept immaculately clean and well-presented, and can accommodate parties of up to eight (plus infants) in three large double-bedrooms and one bedroom with full-size bunk beds for two.

Master bedroom with large en-suite toilet and bathroom with full bath and shower over.
Two further double bedrooms.
Additional bedroom for two in full-size bunks.
Family bathroom with another toilet and full bath with shower over.
Additional downstairs toilet.
Large comfortable lounge.
Kitchen with large refrigerator/freezer, full-size dishwasher, washing-machine/dryer, large double oven, hob, microwave, coffee-maker and a seating/dining area for four.

Dining room with seating for eight and a further four seated dining-spaces in the kitchen.
Outside: The lawned back garden and patio provides a quiet and secluded area for relaxing and picnicking or playing games, and with the six-foot tall fences is a safe location for all ages.
Additional information: Your welcome basket will provide dishwashing tablets and washing detergent. Linen and towels are provided (but not beach-towels, do bring or buy your own). The owners live within a few minutes drive, and are eager to do whatever they can to improve your stay.
