A traditional Irish farm labourer’s cottage, thought to date back to the 1700’s, Charlotte’s has recently undergone a tasteful and sympathetic refurbishment yet retains many of the original features. Set amidst stunning scenery and located at the foot of Benbradagh Mountain this area of Northern Ireland is often referred to as ‘The Hidden Jewel’, as it is in the heart of The Sperrins Mountain Range and The Roe Valley in County Londonderry or Derry as it is known locally.

The cottage has an unusual layout as the rooms are at ground, mid and first floor levels, which compensated for the natural fall of the land. Ground floor level there is a relaxing and comfortable sitting room/dining area with a cosy open fire and a well equipped kitchen. There is a Double Ensuite bedroom with shower at mid floor level and a Twin Ensuite bedroom with bath on the 1st floor. Entrance to the cottage is by a ‘stable’ door and into a small hallway and this adds to the overall charm and character that only properties of this age possess. Charlotte’s Cottage is semi-detached and is adjacent to the main farm house, where the Owners live.

Accessed by a private green lane the location of Charlotte’s Cottage ensures the best of both worlds. Set amidst stunning countryside with amazing views it guarantees peace, quiet and relaxation. Alternatively, visiting places of interest and the local towns is easy as the roads here are never busy and travelling around is a pleasure. The nearby town of Dungiven is 1 mile away and the main A6 road passes directly through it; approximately 100 miles in length this is the main road that links the southern part of Northern Ireland to the northern area and onwards into County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. Limavady and Garvagh, 10 miles: Coleraine, Londonderry/Derry, Bushmills and Benone Beach, 18 miles: The Giant’s Causeway, Portrush, Portstewart and Ballymena, 23 miles: Belfast 1½ hours drive, Dublin 3 hours drive.
