Lochside Cottage is a delightful holiday cottage that can sleep up to six guests in three bedrooms. It is in an enviable position just fifteen yards from the shores of Loch Katrine within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Charming and spacious, Lochside Cottage is the East wing of Stronachlachar House which sits in a peaceful isolated corner of Loch Katrine at Stronachlachar and just seventy five yards from the pier where the SS Sir Walter Scott steamer visits daily during the peak season - why not take a ride on the only surviving screw-driven steamer in Scotland, which has sailed the loch since 1920! Lochside residents can also enjoy fly fishing from a boat on Loch Katrine which is just a few steps away!
The cottage nestles in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and affords breathtaking views over the Loch and surrounding hills of Ben Lomond, Ben Venue and Ben Ledi. It is perfectly position to allow guests to explore Scotland and many of its most beautiful landmarks, along with being an ideal location from which to relax and absorb some of Scotland's finest scenery.
Stronachlachar lies just a short distance from the welcoming and colourful villages of Callander and Aberfoyle, which offer a selection of restaurants, pubs, unique shops and a host of colourful festivals run all year round. Inversnaid lies to the west on the east shore of Loch Lomond where a seasonal ferry provides a crossing to the west shore.
There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy within the area. At any of the local golf courses you can take the opportunity to enjoy a game amongst beautiful scenery. Try a range of watersport activities on the surrounding lochs, or use nearby leisure club facilities. There are also plenty of cycling and walking routes enabling you to enjoy some spectacular views and The Trossachs Discovery Centre makes an ideal place to visit to learn more about the area.
Other local attractions include: Go-Ape, a giant obstacle course up in the trees, including the longest zip line in the UK; Blair Drummond Safari and Aventure Park where you can enjoy a great day out and Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's finest castles.

Lochside Cottage is part of the original Stronachlachar House and forms the East wing of this property, sitting next to the pier at Stronachlachar, within its own private grounds.
The cottage has recently been renovated to a high standard and offers the following accommodation and facilities:

Two twin rooms (one on the ground floor and one on the first floor).
