Benvane is located in an idyllic area of woodland with lovely mountain views, near the hamlet of Balnaha and under a mile from Strathyre. Located at the end of a private 'no through' road, this delightful holiday cottage provides guests with the opportunity to relax in a quiet and tranquil location.
The cottage resides within the perimeters of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and is the perfect 'get away' for a restful and relaxing holiday. It is also ideal for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits with many local activities to enjoy including hill-walking, forests walks, cycling, water sports, excellent fishing, golf, pony trekking, scenic drives and historical sights.
There are plenty of shopping opportunities and a wide variety of restaurants available featuring local produce and meats, along with festive pubs with live music.
Strathyre is an ideal base to explore the whole of the Trossachs National Park, an area renowned for its outstanding beauty and varied wildlife. The area is rich in culture, folklore and clan history and if you want to seek out a little more culture, the great cities of the Central Belt, Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth are all within easy reach.

Benvane offers a beautiful secluded location within a friendly forest hamlet with the convenience of being within easy walking distance of Strathyre village with its choice of three pubs and two shops. The cottage is full of character, and has been thoughtfully modernised, equipped and furnished to ensure your holiday is a memorable one. With outstanding views, a generous enclosed garden which is perfect for relaxing and a lovely log burning stove, this is an ideal retreat at any time of the year.
Accommodation can sleep six adults or four adults and three children and comprises:
Sitting room with television (FreeSat), video, DVD player, comfortable seating, dining area and a lovely log burning stove to curl up in front of on those more chilly nights.
Kitchen which is equipped with microwave, dishwasher, freezer, fridge and cooker.
Large utility room and drying room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space to dry wet clothing.
Downstairs double bedroom.
One upstairs double bedroom with king sized bed.
One upstairs family room with a small (4ft) double and a single bed.
Family bathroom.
Separate WC.
Additional information: Pets are welcome. There is a garage where bikes can be stored. The cottage has central heating. The garden is equipped with garden and lounging furniture along with a barbeque. Short breaks of three nights minimum offered during low season. Heating fuel and electricity is included within the price.
