Rutter Falls Holiday Cottages are in a truly magnificent location, set at the foot of a beautiful waterfall within the Eden Valley in Cumbria - near to the Lake District, providing two luxurious holiday cottages. The Watermill and Ford Cottage make a perfect getaway at any time of the year.
The site has historical references dating back to 16th Century and is set in its own nature reserve. Relax and unwind, whilst watching deer, red squirrels, dippers, heron, kingfishers, goldcrest and many more. You may even see spawning salmon at the right time of year! An exciting newcomer is the elusive otter.
The Eden Valley is one of Cumbria's best kept secrets with its beautiful lush meadows and rolling fields, edged with hedgerows and dry stone walls, giving a sense of wide open space. With lovely quiet roads, this area is ideal for cycling enthusiasts and the countryside and fells provide excellent walking opportunities with many paths to choose from.
Closeby are the market towns of Appleby and Kirkby Stephen where you will find historic buildings and a range of lovely independent shops offering antiques, crafts and local specialities.
The Northern Lakes are very accessible as are trips to the Pennines, North Cumbria and the Scottish Borders.

The Watermill - Set at the foot of a stunning waterfall. This converted watermill provides the perfect luxury get away which is ideal for couples (one or two). It offers a contemporary open plan, luxurious interior with spacious accommodation on two floors.

Two double bedroom areas on separate floors with King-sized beds. One en-suite bathroom and one en-suite shower room.
Victorian slipper bath and spacious power shower.
Fully equipped kitchen uniquely designed and hand painted by a local artist with dining table, Bosch oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Spiral staircase leading to first floor sitting room with a further dining table, two leather sofas, stereo, Sky television/DVD and Laura Ashley furniture.
Secret south facing garden.
Beck side east facing balcony overlooking the floodlit waterfall.
