The Old Cop Shop is one of two adjoining holiday cottages that are located in an ideal position for those who wish to explore the Lake District, the Eden Valley and both the Solway and South Cumbria coasts. The Old Cop Shop sleeps four guests in two bedrooms, as does the owners other cottage, Farriers Loft (advertised separately), making them ideal for couples, families and friends.
Here you can enjoy swimming or sailing at Lake Ullswater, walking or mountaineering over the local beautiful fells and visiting historical Lowther Park, Penrith and Carlisle, along with other local centres of art and historical interest. There are plenty of walks to suit all energy levels from the less adventurous as well as challenges for more serious climbers.
Alternatively, take the local steamer from Glenridding to Pooley Bridge and enjoy a leisurely journey where you can sit back and take in the pure natural beauty of Ullswater and the surrounding Fells.
If it's simply peace and tranquillity you are looking for, then the gardens are ideal for those who just want to simply stay put and relax - soak up the ambiance within the grounds, which are bordered by two rivers and full of bird life and wild flowers.

This charming terraced holiday cottage sleeps up to four guests and offers the following accommodation and facilities:
Double bedroom.
Twin bedroom.
Beautiful views of the lake can be enjoyed from the landing window and the bedrooms both look over the garden towards Place Fell beyond.
Spacious bathroom with WC, washbasin and bath with electric shower over.
Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, fridge and washing machine.
Lounge with multi-fuel stove, television, DVD player, video player, CD player and radio (although fm reception is limited in the cottage due to the location within the valley).
The cottage is centrally heated throughout making it ideal all year round.
Additional information: Mobile phone reception is limited to vodafone but there is a payphone on site.
