StoneyAcre is located in the beautiful Newlands Valley within a delightful part of the Lake District National Park. It sleeps up to six guests and is a well-appointed holiday home that is ideal for those who enjoy walking or who want to explore the areas many attractions.

Created from a wing of the former StoneyCroft Hotel, StoneyAcre provides ground floor accommodation and is conveniently located near to Keswick on a quiet road between Buttermere and Braithwaite. The walking in this area is fantastic with great walks, starting from the front door, to suite all energy levels. 

There are plenty of things to see and do here. A few minutes drive takes you to Buttermere/Crummock Water, Skiddaw, Borrowdale, Sale Fell and Lords Seat. Braithwaite is the nearest village and just a mile away offering two shops and two pubs. Across the valley, about a half-mile away, is another pub, the Swinside Inn. Approximately a mile away at Nicholl End Marina, canoes and boats can be hired for a great family day of fun.

The popular pretty market town of Keswick is a few minutes drive away and provides a wide range of attractions for visitors including interesting shops, restaurants and museums. From here you can take a boat trip around Lake Derwentwater, visit the Pencil Museum or the Cars to the Stars Museum, hire a bike or visit the Whinatter Forest Visitors Centre where you may see the Osprey.

A little further afield is the coast (including St Bees with its nice beach); stately homes including Mirehouse and Hutton; Cockermouth (twenty five minutes away by car) with its many attractions including Wordsworth House, Toy Museum and Jennings Brewery and Muncaster Castle which provides a great day out for the whole family (an hour away).

Whether you are looking to simply relax, explore the areas beauty by foot or visit the many attractions, StoneyAcre provides a very comfortable base.
