Stonetrail Holiday Cottages are located near to, and in between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, within Cumbria offering three delightful four star holiday cottages sleeping between two to ten guests (or sixteen if all three cottages are hired together). Set within forty acres of beautiful countryside, this is a business specialising in walking, horse riding and mountain biking holidays.
The three adjoining stone barns are ideal for couples, families and larger groups who are looking for an exclusive location with onsite activities available in the great outdoors.
Located in a wonderful part of Cumbria which is unspoilt by tourists and midway between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, Stonetrail Holidays is located at the foot of Wild Boar fell and the Howgill fells. It is within a few minutes walk of the Pennine Bridleway, England's latest long distance trail.
You have the choice of exploring the area by foot where you can follow one of the walking routes provided by the owners. Alternatively take to the fells on one of their mountain bikes or horses with an experienced guide. For those who want to bring their own horse away to enjoy the wonderful riding that this area has to offer, you can take advantage of the horse livery available and also the owners extensive knowledge of the local bridleways.
For those who are feeling less energetic and want to simply relax amongst beautiful countryside, this is a great place to sit back, enjoy the peace and tranquility and escape the pressures of every day life with a good book from the library room.
Open all year round, the owners offer weekend, mid week and weeklong breaks. They are happy to help you organise as much of your activity holiday as you wish and can also offer a private dinner party service. This family friendly accommodation will appeal to people of all ages and there are many activities available within the local area, along with a friendly cosy inn within walking distance (ten minutes).

Stoneview is a beautiful barn conversion which has been carefully designed to offer a contemporary interior of an exceptionally high standard of comfort and style. Wood burning stoves, crisp white linens and power showers blend perfectly with the original architecture of the open trusses and exposed stonework.
The barn offers wonderful far reaching views from its windows over the limestone hillside and howgill fells. With immediate access to fellside walks straight from your door, this is perfect for those who enjoy walking. Stoneview can accommodate up to ten guests and an additional six guests when all three adjoining properties are rented together, providing the perfect venue for a group of friends or family in a quiet and exclusive setting.

Additional information: Prices include heating, lighting and logs for the wood burning stove. All bed linen and towels as well as a small amount of essential domestic items such as hand soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls and tea towels are also provided. A maid service is available during your stay at an additional charge of £12 per hour - This service includes bedmaking, washing up and general tidying. A dinner party service is available with a choice of menu as is a grocery pack for arrival - Please enquire. Tailor made horse treks and holidays are available onsite and mountain bike hire is available - please enquire.
Changeover days are Monday and Friday and weekend, mid week and week long breaks are available throughout the whole year.
