Located on the fringes of the Lake District National Park are two delightful traditionally built log cabins. Positioned on the hillside amongst the orchard trees and meadow grass, they provide a truly peaceful and tranquil location to enjoy a relaxing holiday, overlooking the rolling hills and southern coastline of Cumbria.
Damson and Pear Tree Cabin's provide substantial accommodation with an aesthetic charm and natural character. They boast first-class accommodation, and have two delightful bedrooms, exposed timbers throughout and wood burners - providing a wonderfully cosy atmosphere at any time of the year. Each has a large balcony which is ideal for dining al fresco or enjoying the view with a glass of wine!
There are an array of good walks from the doorstep and Ulverston is within walking distance.
With many of the Lake District attractions and the Furness coastline with its beautiful sandy beaches nearby, the cabins offer the best of both worlds and make an ideal base for exploring the area. Lake Coniston and Windermere are only a few miles away and there is easy access to popular Lakeland towns from Kendal, Ambleside, Hawkshead and Bowness.
Newland is one of the oldest villages in the area and has an historical Furness in its village. This pretty hamlet is located South West of Lake Coniston and Windermere and offers a beautiful setting with its rolling hills and beck running nearby.
Ulverston is an historic market town with predominantly Georgian style architect. Its labyrinth of cobbled streets and attractive buildings are home to interesting shops and eating establishments. It has the world's shortest, deepest and widest canal and is just over a mile from Morecambe Bay and the sea.

Each cabin offers all ground floor accommodation on a split-level. Sleeping up to four (+ cot if required) they offer the following accommodation and facilities:
Two bedrooms - Both have king-size double beds and the second bedroom has zip and link facility so can be made up as a double or twin (by prior arrangement). A cot can be supplied upon request.
Bathroom with roll top bath, shower over bath, basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Open plan living area with galleried handmade kitchen and lounge/dining area with wood burner.
Shared utility building with washing machine, tumble dryer, drying racks and space to store boots and equipment.
Each cabin has it’s own Veranda with table and chairs for alfresco dining, along with a BBQ & open grassed area to the side of the property.
Please note there are three steps between sitting/dining area and the rest of accommodation.
Additional information: Sorry no smoking and no pets. Combination solar heating system throughout, wood burning stove with back boiler. Each cabin has LPG gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, colour television and DVD player. Bed linen and towels are included in rent. A cot and high chair are available upon request. Off road parking. Bike storage available on request. No same sex parties (stag & hen parties). Check-in time is 15:00 and check-out is 10:00 on departure day.
Changeover days: Damson Cabin is Friday and Pear Tree Cabin Saturdays.
