Longtail Lodge is a unique contemporary log cabin offering couples cosy luxury holiday accommodation, with exclusive use of a large spa hot tub (with fully automatic cover). Located in a delightful peaceful and private setting close to the popular village of Bowness-on-Windermere within the Lake District National Park, the lodge is perfect for couples looking for a holiday or short break and specialises in celebration weekends.
This studio type accommodation has a fantastic private outside decking area, with dining furniture, BBQ and bar area. Covered by a large canopy, guests can enjoy a drink and eat al-fresco at any time of the year, whatever the weather! The decking affords stunning views over the garden with Lake Windermere and Claife heights in the background. The added advantage of the large spa hot tub makes this the perfect place to relax, unwind and escape the pressures of everyday life.
Bowness is just a ten minute walk from Longtail Lodge and offers a great selection of restaurants, bars, interesting little shops and many fine historic and cultural attractions. It is situated in a beautiful lakeside setting on the eastern edge of Lake Windermere and with some of the finest views across the lake and beyond to the mountains, it is easy to understand why it is probably Cumbria's most popular holiday destination.
At any time of the year Bowness offers plenty to see and do with people returning time and time again to enjoy golf, sailing, horse riding, fishing, watersports, wonderful Lakeland walks or for those feeling less energetic, leisurely lake cruises.
What ever your age, you will find plenty to see and do in this beautiful location.

Accommodation and facilities:
External decked area with al-fresco dining furniture, BBQ and bar covered by a large canopy,adjacent to garden with a large relaxing hydro-spa hot tub (five person) for sole use of cabin guests all year round.
Entrance from decked area leading to hall/kitchenette area.
The kitchenette is fitted with microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, and dishwasher and is equipped to a standard that allows guests to prepare breakfasts, snacks and light meals - this allowing guests to make the most of the great selection of eating establishments in Bowerness or enjoy alfresco dining and a BBQ.
Large shower room with vanity sink unit, circular power shower, toilet and heated towel rail.
Lounge with French doors opening onto the balcony which offers stunning views. There is a solid wood floor, contemporary leather bed with luxury mattress, two armchairs, side table, drawer unit, wall storage, LCD TV with DVD and mood lighting.
Ideally suitable for two guests with the option of using the bed in the lounge or sleeping on a special double comfort mattress in the gallery area which is accessed by a ladder.
Additional information: Double glazing throughout, underfloor heating to kitchen area and bathroom, heated towel rail, fan assisted storage heater to lounge, instant hot water system. All bedding, linens, towels, bath robes provided. Welcome pack in kitchen. There is private parking onsite. A golf course is adjacent. Short breaks offered (2 nights from £345 or single nights offered at supplement) - please enquire with the owner. Motor cyclists are welcome.

Beautiful comfortable Lodge & just a short walk to busy village with some great restaurants & pubs. Went on fabulous boat trips on the Lake - gorgeous place. Took some long easy walks then back into the hot tub to relax in the evening. This place is absolutely ideal - we couldn't fault it. Can't wait to come back. S & E - Bucks.

After a long journey there was a cold beer & chilled wine waiting in the fridge for us - what more could you ask for! Relaxed in the hot tub & things just got better...We parked up at the Lodge when we arrived and didn't need to use the car again until we left...What a great location.
