Little Acorns accommodates up to eight guests in four bedrooms and is ideal for larger groups or extended families. It is ideally located in the heart of Windermere, one of the most popular villages in the Lake District with plenty to entertain all ages and energy levels.
This Lakeland stone built home offers versatile holiday accommodation that is close to the centre of the village with its good selection of shops and restaurants, yet it benefits from being in a quite location.
Windermere is an excellent base from which to explore the Lake District with its many attractions and many people view it as the centre of the Lakes. It has a railway station making it ideal for those who do not have a car and Lake Windermere is less than a mile away, where you can enjoy water sports, hire a small pleasure craft or take a leisurely ferry ride.
The surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for those who enjoy walking and cycling and the Lake District is fantastic for those who love the great outdoors with rock climbing, hiking, sailing and much more.
Cumbria has sandy coastlines, pretty villages and interesting towns to visit including old-fashioned Keswick, Kendal, Ambleside and Bowness - all nearby and very popular with visitors. There are plenty of attractions including the Lakeside Aquarium; the 'World of Beatrix Potter'; Grizedale Forest Park and the 'Windermere Steamboat Museum' to name just a few! Also within easy reach are Coniston Water, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all just waiting to be explored.
With its open fells, clear-water lakes and impressive mountains it is hardly any surprise that visitors return to the Lake District time and time again.

- Bedroom one which sleeps two in full size bunk-beds.

- Bedroom two with antique French double bed.

- Bedroom four is a spacious attic room containing a French antique double bed.
Additional information: Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement but please ensure they remain on the ground floor and are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture at any time. Welcome packs of organic wine and chocolates are available upon request. The owners have reduced the energy use by installing solar p.v. panels which generate most of the electricity.
