Kitty House Farm is a delightful non-working small family run farm with a Cumberland Longhouse that comprises of two holiday cottages - Kitty Fold (as advertised here) that sleeps three guests and Kitty Byre (see separate advert) that sleeps four guests. The owners are nearby should they be needed and live in the other half of the longhouse.
The holiday cottages are part of the traditional longhouse and farm outbuildings, dating back some four hundred years. Kitty fold has been converted from a covered sheep building and Kitty Byre was formerly the stable and hayloft. Both cottages today provide very comfortable holiday accommodation that retains much individual character with a relaxed home from home atmosphere.
Situated in the Lake District National Park, ten miles from Keswick and Penrith, the holiday cottages are located in a peaceful position, five miles from the shores of Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District. The village pub is just eight hundred metres from the cottages and there are two other pubs within one mile. The nearest village shop is five miles and the supermarket is ten miles away.
The surrounding countryside is particularly picturesque and the cottages provide an ideal base for exploring not only the Lake District and its many attractions, but also the whole of Cumbria, Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Borders. There are numerous activities to enjoy including walking, climbing, hiking, cycling and sailing, along with plenty of places to visit.

Kitty Fold sleeps three guests in two bedrooms and is the end stone built holiday cottage.

Pretty single dormer bedroom.
Shower room with toilet and washbasin.
Outside: There is parking for two cars and a shared garden with patio including garden furniture.
Additional information: There is a communal laundry room which guests have the shared use of containing washing machine and tumble dryer. Oil central heating, bed linen and towels included in the prices. An electric stove (in the fireplace in the lounge) is available for use, although the central heating is normally sufficient to keep the cottage nice and warm. Unfortunately no smokers and no pets. Not suitable for toddlers and small children.
