Located on the edge of Derwentwater, and only a twelve minute walk from the popular market town of Keswick in the Lake District National Park, this comortable self-catering holiday cottage is the ideal location for parties of up to four guests wishing to explore the beautiful surroundings, whether it be the lakes, fells or forests.

With a private car parking space and lockable shed suitable for bike storage, guests can explore the many sights via car, foot, bike or the regular bus service, making days out easy and affordable. Alternatively boats frequently depart from the nearby Nichol End Marina transporting passengers to seven different locations around the lake.

Of particular interest to young children, the Newlands Valley provideds the backdrop to many Beatrice Potter novels. Other attractions include Go Ape and mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, water sport tuition on Derwentwater and glorious walks on fells such as Catbells, Causey Pike and nearby Skiddaw.

To top it off The Farmers Arms, just a stone’s throw away from the cottage, serves hot meals after a long day. Alternatively, there are many other cafes and restaurants in walking distance, as well as the popular “Theatre by the Lake” which has spectacular views and year-round performances.
