This character 18th century farmhouse has been converted into three Four Star Gold Award holiday cottages that still retain many lovely original features including exposed stone walls, fabulous beams and feature fireplaces with wood burning stoves. The cottages also have shared use of an eight seater hot tub and are ideal for a holiday all year round. Accommodating parties of two to eight guests individually or larger family groups of up to fourteen when rented together (unfortunately no stags or hens), flexible holiday accommodation is provided.

Set on the owner’s working dairy farm, this is a lovely peaceful corner of West Cumbria which is close to the sea with the Lake District mountains and Wasdale hills and valley providing a majestic backdrop. Here you have the choice of caravan, camping or self-catering holiday accommodation all on one site.

The beautiful sandy beach is just a five minute walk from the cottages where children can build sandcastles and adults can take a romantic evening stroll and admire the sunset. A short walk up the lane takes you to Halsenna Moor, an area of conservation and natural beauty where you can enjoy one of the designated walks and possibly see fox cubs playing, wild deer grazing, red squirrels and many other wild birds and native animals. Another short stroll takes you to Spindlecraft, a quaint craft shop and also the railway station which serves the Barrow to Carlisle West Coast line, allowing you to explore the area without having to drive.

Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass and Eskdale narrow-gauge railway are just a short drive away and a little further away you have the popular tourist destinations of Grasmere, Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere and Hawkshead, which are just a short trip over the hills via Hardknott Pass.

The Victoria Hotel is the nearest pub to the cottages and is just under a mile and within walking distance. There are also a number of restaurants and traditional pubs dotted around the area, where you can enjoy traditional ales and good home-made food using fantastic local produce.
