The Coach House, situated in the Lake District National Park, was built of natural stone in 1863 and converted to a holiday cottage in the 1960s. Much of the original character still remains, the exposed beams being a main feature.
Situated in the beautiful Longsleddale valley, the self-catering accommodation is ideally situated for touring, climbing, walking, pursuing a hobby or interest or just relaxing.
The valley has changed little in several hundred years with farming the main occupation. The river Sprint runs the length of the valley and there are splendid views of the surrounding hills and countryside.
The cottage is along side the main house but is completely self-contained and has its own car-port and patio. Visitors are welcome to use the garden and barbecue facilities.

The Coach House is ideally suitable for two guests and is arranged over two levels. The first floor rooms have excellent views of the surrounding fields, fells, woodland and farmland. Throughout this attractive little cottage there are a number of pictures, ornaments and decorative plates that help to create a relaxed and homely atmosphere.
The accommodation comprises: one double bedroom with the bed being a super-king size that can be made into twin beds on request. Lounge with dining area, log burner and sofa that converts into full sized double bed, shower room, and fully fitted kitchen.
Other benefits:
A baby's cot, high chair and stair gate available on request.
Pets are welcome, subject to prior agreement.
Electric blankets are fitted to the twin beds.
The nearest shops, public house and petrol station are seven miles away in Kendal and milk is not delivered. There is a telephone box 200 yards from the cottage but the phone number at the main house may be used as a contact number in case of emergency. The cottage is on a filtered, private spring water supply.
