Bush Cottage is situated in the delightful peaceful village of Tallentire, on the North West edge of the Lake District National Park, and just three miles away from the bustling market town of Cockermouth.
The holiday cottage is an ideal base for those wanting to explore the beautiful, spectacular lakes and mountains of the Western Lake District. It is also ideal for enjoying the breathtaking, dramatic scenery of Wastwater, recently voted "Britain's Favourite View".
Within just fifteen minutes you can be amongst the fells, enjoying the stunning scenery of the Lorton Valley, which leads down to Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere. You are also able to escape the crowds with this area having the added advantage of being one of the quieter parts of The Lake District.
The pace of life in this corner of Cumbria has escaped the stresses of modern living. You will be able to quickly unwind and enjoy all it has to offer. There are many walks locally and there is nothing nicer than a picnic by a peaceful lake shore.
Ten minutes drive to the west will take you to the Solway Coast, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its beautiful unspoilt Blue flag beaches. A little further on you will come to the Roman Town of Maryport with its fort, museum and aquarium, and south towards the historic quayside at Whitehaven.
Bush Cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, and is equipped with all modern facilities to ensure your holiday is enjoyable. It offers quiet, comfortable accommodation for up to four guests and one baby. The village pub with bistro restaurant is nearby and serves good food and prize winning real ales.

Cosy living room which is comfortably furnished and has a wood burning stove as its focal point, and includes a Freeview TV, DVD and video player.
Dining room/kitchen area fitted with a wood effect floor, a large pine dining table and chairs for four, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, ceramic hob, electric oven/grill and integrated fridge with ice box. There is also a radio/CD/tape player in the dining area.

Additional information: Sorry, no pets or smoking. The staircase is fairly steep and may be unsuitable for very young children and the elderly. The cottage has its own sunny secluded garden in which to relax, with flowers and shrubs, a lawn, a patio area, barbecue, outdoor furniture and parasol. The cottage benefits from fully controllable oil fired central heating; all fuel (logs, coal, electricity, oil) are included in the rental price. Towels, bedding and table linen are also included. There is parking space outside the front of the cottage. A travel cot can be provided if required.
