Boltons Tarn Log Cabin is in an idyllic location within a private secluded eighteen acre woodland estate in the Langdale Valley, within the central Lake District. Being only two and a half miles from Ambleside, this is an ideal base for exploring the areas many attractions and also perfect for walkers, cyclists, or those who simply want to relax in a wonderful peaceful setting.
Nestling in an elevated position, amongst magnificent fir trees, Boltons Tarn Log Cabin offers complete seclusion. It is well positioned within the estate to provide maximum privacy and well equipped to ensure your holiday is comfortable and memorable.
The estate has been rated 5 Star with its facilities including a family sized swimming pool (with changing rooms), Jacuzzi, sauna, communal laundry room, pay phone and wireless internet. There is a hotel within a five minutes walk serving A La Carte and excellent bar meals.
Centrally located at Skelwith Bridge, the estate is at the foot of the Langdale Valley and provides easy access to Coniston, Windermere, Grasmere, Ambleside and the many Lake District attractions and outdoor activities that the area has to offer. The estate affords spectacular views from the top of the site across the Langdale Valley and down to Loughrigg Tarn. It is also a haven for wildlife with deer, squirrels, badgers and a large variety of birds frequently visiting. A "Badger Cam" has been installed in the lodge to announce when the nocturnal friends are visiting plus there are two nest boxes with cameras installed to provide extra early season interest.

Boltons Tarn Log Cabin accommodates up to six guests in three bedrooms and affords views overlooking young woodland and fields down to Skelwith Bridge.
Accommodation comprise:
Lounge equipped and furnished with comfortable leather sofas, Freeview Satellite television/DVD and DAB radio music centre.
Fitted Kitchen with electric cooker (with ceramic hob), fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave etc.
Shower room with hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Dining area with extending table and chairs to seat six.
Outside there is a veranda leading onto a large sun deck equipped with table and chairs, along with brick built BBQ and sun loungers for guests enjoyment.
Additional information: The washing machine and tumble dryer are located on the estate (not in the cabin itself) and are communal facilities. There is internet access in the pool building (not in the cabin itself). The cabin is easily accessible for most visitors, however persons with severe walking difficulties should seek advice from the owners prior to booking. Due to the cabins location there is no wheelchair access. Access to the cabin is down a short series of steps (18 in total). The owners also have a two bedroom cabin available that sleeps four guests (see owners website). The cabin is "dog friendly".
Changeover day is Saturday for full weeks and Saturday and Tuesday for short breaks.
