Woodhow Tarn sits on the slopes of the woodland of Neaum Crag and is in a peaceful position surrounded by beautiful trees. This comfortable log cabin is ideal for those wanting to truly unwind and is perfect for anyone who enjoys walking, due to its beautiful countryside setting.

This log cabin offers the best of both worlds, a peaceful position that is just a short stroll from Skelwith Bridge with its cafe, restaurant, country pub and gift shop.

Woodhow Tarn sleeps four guests in a main bedroom and a small bunk bedroom ideal for children. Outside it has a lovely large decking area where you can take advantage of the woodland setting and relax and unwind. The log cabin is one of a number of apartments and cabins scattered amongst the tall trees - all benefitting from free use of an on-site small leisure complex with Jacuzzi, pool, sauna and games room (open from the months of March to November inclusive). On-site, there is also a small shop and laundry facilities. Guests also benefit from a free pass providing the use of larger leisure facilities at the Low Wood Hotel in Ambleside.

The Lake District is incredibly popular and famous for its natural beauty and vast selection of outdoor activities. There are a multitude of superb visitor attractions to suit all ages. Why not step back in time and visit South Lakeland's historic house or the interesting museums. Enjoy a trip on a steam railway or a leisurely cruise around the lake. Follow in the footsteps of famous literary characters and visit the homes of Beatrix Potter, John Ruskin and William Wordsworth who all lived in the South lakes or explore the area by foot and take in the stunning scenery.
