Harney Peak is a traditional Lakeland building that has now been converted into apartments. It is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of the Northern Lake District at any time of the year, whether by foot, bike, car or boat.
The tranquil little village of Portinscale sits on the northern edge of Derwent Water, surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the Lake District National Park including Borrowdale Valley and the Skiddaw Range. All four seasons will offer magnificent views of the valleys, fells, lakes and forests.
From the doorstep of No. 7 there are a number of walks, suitable for all energy levels and ages. Come and enjoy the beautiful views by taking a leisurely stroll down to the water's edge or hire a kayak, canoe or rowing boat from one of the villages two marinas. Alternatively, sit back and take a relaxing boat trip across the lake from one of the lakeshore jetties.
Within the village meals and refreshments can be taken at one of the two hotel restaurants or the village pub - all less than five minutes walk away from No. 7. The village store and tea room are also located directly opposite Harney Peak.
A scenic ten to fifteen minute walk takes you to the popular town of Keswick which offers a variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. Evening entertainment includes the award winning Theatre by the Lake with its year round programme of exhibitions and live performances, along with a cinema. The lively Saturday market sells local produce and crafts and there are a variety of festivals throughout the year.

The accommodation is on the ground floor, to the rear of the property and has been awarded 4 Star Gold.
The apartment has a private entrance which leads to an inner hallway where there is storage space for coats and boots.
The property benefits from Gas central heating with individual radiator thermostats.
The open plan living/dining room is spacious with a comfortable sitting area equipped with television, Freeview Digital, DVD and radio/CD player. Guest's also have the use of free Wi-fi broadband.
Modern kitchen fully fitted with an integrated self-igniting Gas hob, fan-assisted oven, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge and microwave.
The cupboards are well stocked with all the utensils you should need for a self catering holiday.
An iron, airer and ironing board are provided, along with cleaning products for use during your stay.
Large double bedroom with plenty of storage space and hairdryer.
A choice of seasonal, hollow-fibre duvets are provided and the bed is made up for your arrival.
The en suite bathroom has a shower over a full-size bath, WC and washbasin.

Additional information: Towels can be hired at a cost of £5 per set. Short breaks are offered between November to March and at short notice at other times of the year if available. A welcome pack is provided upon arrival.
