Ferry View Cottage is a traditional stone Lakeland holiday cottage, which is situated towards the southern end of Bowness on Windermere. The cottage is superbly appointed in a quiet location adjoining countryside, yet only a ten to fifteen minute walk into the village centre and Bowness Bay.
Bowness on Windermere is situated within the Lake District. It is Cumbria's most popular town where people come to relax in the delightful setting or enjoy sailing and water sports on the lake. There are numerous attractions and places of interest and holiday makers will be spoilt for choice when choosing how to fill their days.
There are cruises on the lake which can either be used as a means of getting from one attraction to another, or as a delightful way to relax whilst discovering the views and charms of the banks of the lake.
This area also offers many enjoyable walks that are connected to the cruises network and the village offers a good choice of restaurants and cafe's, shops, the Beatrix Potter Attraction, a small theatre and a cinema.

Available all year, this cosy holiday cottage benefits from electric storage heating and also a Gas Log effect stove making the focal point of the sitting/dining room. The sitting room also has a TV VCR, DVD and CD player.
The limed oak fitted kitchen gives a lovely country feel, and is well equipped with a built-in fan assisted oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, built-in fridge with ice box, microwave and washing machine.
There are two spacious bedrooms (one double, one twin), both having generous wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space with dressing table areas in both rooms and television. Duvets and bed linen of the highest quality are provided.
Additional information: Dogs are welcome at a small additional charge. There is parking at the front of the cottage. Prices include electricity, Gas and bed linen. Short breaks available starting from £175 - please enquire with the owner.

Just writing to say how much we loved the cottage. The cottage is lovely and so beautifully furnished and equipped. If my fire gets changed - I'll know who to blame! We travelled the car ferry, visited Nr.Sawrey, sailed the lake, visited the Wildlife Park & Aquarium and travelled on the Ravenglass steam railway. In short loved every minute.
