The Barns is a stylish luxury self catering barn conversion that provides holiday accommodation for up to six guests in comfort and style. Located within the idyllic small village of Haverthwaite, within the Lake District National Park, The Barns affords panoramic views and is an ideal retreat for couples, friends or family who want to explore the many attractions of the Southern Lakes.
Recently restored to a very high standard, The Barns still retains lots of character features throughout, including lakeland stone walls, exposed beams, log burner and feature Rayburn in the kitchen.
Ideally suited for exploring the Lake District by foot, car or bike, The Barns is close to the famous Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway, Lakes Aquarium, The Motor museum and Cartmel village to name just a few. It is also only five minutes drive from the southern part of Lake Windermere and the area offers a wide range of outdoor activities to enjoy.
The Barns convenient location also makes it an ideal base from which to explore the popular Lake District tourist areas such as Bowness-on-Windermere, Coniston, Grizdale Forest, Ambleside and the unspoilt west coast. Public footpaths and forest walks can be accessed directly from the front door and Grizedale forest is only eight miles away by bike or car.

Entrance hall with cloak room (including WC) and boot rack.
Spacious open plan living area with corner leather sofa, wood burning stove, forty two inch plasma screen television with Freeview and Blu-ray DVD Player. There are two large windows overlooking open lakeland countryside.
Ground floor twin bedroom with exposed beams and skylight.
Ground floor bunk bedroom with exposed beams and skylight.
House bathroom with WC, wash basin and bath with overhead shower.

Newly fitted open plan kitchen with large solid oak dining table, feature Rayburn, electric cooker, hob, extractor, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and flat screen Freeview television. The kitchen leads out onto the patio and garden area which overlooks the valley with fantastic views.
Double bedroom on the top floor with exposed beams, roof skylight, flat screen Freeview television and oak furniture. This room benefits from the use of a separate shower room and WC seperated by just a few steps.
Additional information: Prices include linen, towels, electricity, oil central heating, a welcome basket of logs and a welcome pack (coffee, sugar, tea and dishwasher tablets). There is bike storage. Unfortunately no smoking or pets. Travel cot available.
