Stable Cottages are owned and run by Jason & Debbie Symonds and family who live on site and look forward to welcoming you to your stay in cottages in the grounds of their home in a secluded part of the Hoo peninsular.

These charming oak beamed cottages are fully central heated, luxuriously furnished and idyllically set in twenty acres of secluded farmland on the Hoo Peninsula with panoramic views of the Thames. Tucked away down a private lane this secure site with electric gates offers peace of mind rarely found.

The Cottages also benefit from the use of the indoor swimming pool, steam room and games room.

Local Interests

Stable Cottages are close to Historic Rochester which has a Castle, Cathedral, Museum and High Street, and an hour’s drive will take you to many more gardens and National Trust properties or the coast. Canterbury being 45 minutes away and London an hour. If you like walking there are many footpaths through the countryside and Hoo is also very close to the Saxon Shore Way. The RSPB reserve is just around the corner in High Halstow including the largest Heronry in Europe. We do provide a selection of Wellington boots for people to borrow.

Shopaholics can visit both Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres both within 35 minutes drive which boast to be the biggest and best in Europe.

The individual cottages comprise of two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other including bunk beds (single or double) and an additional single bed. Each cottage has a fully fitted kitchen equipped with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. The bathrooms are fully tiled with shower over bath and ample cupboard space. The lounge-diner has a three piece suite and a dining table with room for six guests. We take great pride in keeping the cottages spotlessly clean. There is a shared utility room with two washing machines, tumble drier, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, clothes-airer and sewing kit. This room is on an electric meter and is the only electricity you will have to pay for. There are electric gates for extra security and there is ample parking for cars.
