Serafina Barn is located within the North Herefordshire hamlet of Brierley and provides spacious holiday accommodation of a very high standard that can accommodate up to ten adults (or twelve with The Lodge) plus four children. It offers a fantastic venue for large parties that want to have a family celebration, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, a group holiday or a reunion of friends.
The barn conversion was completed in 2008 and is part of a large Grade II listed barn that adjoins Serafina Cottage, where the owners and their young family reside.
The beautifully restored oak framed barn is set in the very Heart of England, and provides all the comforts of contemporary and environmentally friendly country living.
Steeped in history, the border county of Herefordshire is home to gardens and farms which have changed very little over the centuries, castles and houses and many fine eating establishments. Here you will find a slower pace of life where you can instantly wind down and enjoy a relaxing rural escape!
Serafina is surrounded by open countryside and farms and provides an excellent base for exploring the beautiful unspoilt Herefordshire landscape. It occupies a quiet, yet accessible rural location, with a wealth of local footpaths allowing you to explore the area by foot from the front door. Set within approximately three quarters of an acre of grounds, you can relax in the garden, enjoy a barbeque or watch the younger ones letting off steam.
The barn sits close to the Mortimer Trail and Offa's Dyke Path, numerous award-winning pubs (one with Michelin stars) and three National Trust properties. The market town of Leominster is just two miles away and the cathedral City of Hereford, home of the Mappa Mundi is twelve miles. The historic town of Ludlow with its castle and medieval and Georgian buildings is thirteen miles away. It is renowned for it's food and drink, with no fewer than seven restaurants in or around Ludlow with entries in the current Michelin guide to hotels and restaurants in Britain.
For those wanting to travel further afield, Wales beckons. The Elan Valley and Brecon Beacons are also within striking distance.

Serafina Barn can comfortably accommodate ten adults and four children, within five bedrooms and The Lodge can accommodate a further two guests. With three bathrooms, expansive communal rooms and three quarters of an acre of grounds, this is an ideal place for large parties to enjoy time together.
Every room has been finished to a very high standard with the owners paying a great deal of attention to detail to ensure your holiday is a relaxing and memorable one.
Accommodation and facilities:
The ground floor has open plan living and dining areas, creating a perfect balance of togetherness and privacy. The dining area can seat up to fourteen guests making it ideal for celebratory dinners for friends and family.
The expansive living room boasts comfortable seating and a 50” flat screen television, making it the perfect room for relaxed entertaining, especially with its wood-burning stove which creates a lovely atmosphere on those more chilly nights. Additionally, there is a family room which is ideal for relaxing with a good book or playing board games or the piano.
Adjacent to the dining area is the playroom where you can keep an eye on the younger ones whilst enjoying the company of others. This room also features a flat screen television, DVD player and Playstation 2 with a selection of games.
Whilst the kitchen is not only impressive in size, it is also of a very high quality with top of the range fittings and oak and granite work surfaces throughout. It is fully equipped with a range cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave whilst complimented with extras like a fruit juicer and bread-maker. The size of the kitchen also allows an informal eating area or somewhere to relax with a coffee or tea.
In the laundry room, you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge and two freezers - ideal if you are staying for more than a long weekend.
Upstairs there are five large bedrooms: two king-size masters with en-suites (containing shower, WC and sink), one double and two twin bedrooms. Two Z-beds can also be provided along with two cots to accommodate four children and The Lodge (accommodating two additional guests) can also be rented.
Additional information: Weekly bookings can start on a Friday or a Monday. Short breaks are available either as a three night weekend break (Friday to Monday), or four night midweek break (Monday to Friday) with the exception of the Christmas and New Year period. Wireless broadband is available throughout the property. No pets are permitted. The prices are is fully inclusive of electricity, heating, bed linen and towels. The owners are unable to accept Hen/Stag or similar parties.
