India Cottage is a luxurious 4 star self catering holiday cottage which has been furnished in a contemporary style to offer a stunning décor with beautiful furnishings to make your stay extra special. It has a delightful double bedroom and a twin bedded room making it ideal for those wanting a romantic break away, friends holidaying together or a family holiday (children must be aged 10 or above).
It is perfectly situated in the very heart of the historic market town of Ross on Wye, with a great selection of restaurants, pubs and interesting shops on the doorstep. Whilst it is in the heart of the town it is quietly tucked away in a historic cobbled courtyard, and benefits from private parking and a lovely roof garden where you can relax and take in the views over the spire of the church and town whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
Ross on Wye is situated at the end of the M50 and is easily accessible from London (approx 2½ hours), Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff (all approx 1 hour). This beautiful area is designated as ‘An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and the town is surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside. The Wye Valley offers many local attractions, places of interest and activities to enjoy with something to suit all tastes and ages. It is also within easy reach of the Cotswolds with many pretty villages and towns to visit.
There are beautiful walks and numerous outdoor activities in the area to enjoy and there are also a number of award winning pubs and restaurants in Ross on Wye and the surrounding area.

India cottage was converted from an old warehouse in 2002, and has been recently completely refurnished for holiday letting. It still retains much original character with lovely old oak beams from the former tea shop (hence the name) which blend superbly with superior contemporary fittings and décor. The cottage is suitable for a couple and two children (aged 10 or above), teenagers or active adults, with spacious accommodation arranged on three floors.
Accommodation and facilities comprise:
Ground Floor
Kitchen/Dining - The modern fully fitted kitchen has underfloor heating and is fully equipped with oven, hob and extractor, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster and kettle and all the usual cooking utensils. Contemporary black and white crockery and stylish glassware complement the stunning dining table.
Bathroom with white suite including bath with shower over, basin and WC - this room benefits from underfloor heating, a heated towel rail, mirror with lighting and shaver point.
A Miele washing machine/drier is available for your exclusive use and luxury cotton towels and bathrobes are provided.
Master bedroom which is stylishly furnished with cream distressed 'French style' furniture, complemented with pure crisp white cotton bedlinen and a pure silk Conran 'throw'. Radio alarm and hairdryer are available for your use.
First Floor Stairs lead up to the stunning black and gold open plan sitting room with doors to the terrace.
Sitting Room with black leather sofa and armchair, oak tables, designer black and gold lamps and silk curtains providing a cosy sitting room with a touch of opulence. The cottage is equipped with the latest technology including a widescreen TV, Sky and In Home Theatre with a selection of DVD’s and CD’s provided. Wireless broadband is available throughout.
Galleried Bedroom - ladder stairs lead up to the Galleried Bedroom with twin beds with beautiful oak beams above. NB This area is only suitable for children aged 10, teenagers or 'active' adults as the ladder stairs are quite steep. The single beds are full size.
Private, south facing roof terrace with views of John Kyrle’s Summer House and the spire of the 14th century, St Marys Church beyond.
