Taigh Nan Eilean accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms and is positioned in an enviable location overlooking the loch, on a fifteen acre croft in the Village of Uigen. Part of the community owned by Bhaltos Peninsula, Uigen sits in the very heart of Uig which is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Hebrides and one of the thirteen areas making up the Hebridean Island of Lewis.
The holiday cottage has been rated four star by the Scottish tourist Board and sits amongst spectacular scenery where Highland Cattle and Black Face Sheep can be seen grazing in the fields surrounding the cottage. It offers the perfect combination of both comfort and luxury, providing a truly peaceful retreat from which to relax and it is also suitable for people with limited mobility, holding a class one ranking.
This spectacular backdrop will provide you with an ideal base from which to explore the historic Islands including Bernera which is a close neighbour and the Isle of Harris which is landlocked. Alternatively, stay locally and enjoy the white sandy beaches and breathtaking scenery of this timeless landscape.
Should you be seeking excitement and adventure, you will not be disappointed with sea safaris, kayaking, excursions, kiting and surfing to be enjoyed just minutes away. There are also plenty of opportunities for walking, fishing, cycling, exploring, fine dining and The Heritage Centre, Museum and Tea Shop are just minutes away. Venture a little further by car for the islands theatre, golf courses, museums and art galleries.
What ever the time of year, Taigh nan Eilean is an ideal holiday retreat. In the summer you can enjoy lazy summer days amongst stunning scenery and the autumn and winter evenings are every bit as enjoyable and provide the perfect time to relax in front of the peat fire and sample one of the many fine Malt Whiskies that Scotland is so famous for!

Located at the mouth of Loch Roag on a small headland, Taigh nan Eilean affords fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and islands. The famous beaches of Reef, Valtos and Cliff are just a few minutes drive away and the nearby small harbour at Miavaig is popular for visiting yachts during the summer months and provides the ideal base for fishing trips and sea safaris.
Taigh nan Eilean has recently been built to a very high standard and provides the following accommodation and facilities:
