Garden Cottage is a comfortable, well-equipped holiday cottage that can accommodate four guests (plus an extra two) in two bedrooms. The cottage is located in Rockbourne, an attractive downland village near to the New Forest, Cranborne Chase and Salisbury. With gardens at the front and rear of the cottage leading to winterbourne stream and direct access onto downland walks, this is an ideal holiday retreat at any time of the year.
Rockbourne is a pretty village on the edge of the New Forest, with its timber framed cottages set in beautiful downland within Cranborne Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is surrounded by wonderful countryside where you will see donkeys, ponies and cattle roam freely. It is home to the Rockbourne Roman Villa and St. Andrew's Church with Norman origins set on the hillside overlooking the village. There is also a thatched village pub (The Rose and Thistle) which is a short walk from Garden Cottage and serves excellent food and real ale.
Nearby and within easy reach is the Elizabethan Manor House in the village of Breamore and the magnificent medieval Cathedral city of Salisbury. Often referred to as 'The City in the Countryside', Salisbury has much to offer with its historic buildings, restaurants and shops and is just a twenty minute car ride (ten miles) from Garden Cottage. The seaside resort of Bournemouth is also easily accessible and twenty miles away.
Fly fishing is available locally at Rockbourne Trout Fishery, horse riding and golf are available nearby and the coast can be reached in thirty minutes.
Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Garden Cottage is ideal for those who enjoy country walks and conveniently located for visiting the many attractions of the area.

Garden Cottage is approached by a short lane, some seventy yards from the village road. It is one of a terrace of four cottages and enjoys an open, sunny location.
Accommodation Comprises:
A stable style front door takes you into the hall.
Sitting room with a sofa, arm chairs, satellite television (Freesat), DVD player, stereo and small open fire.
Downstairs cloakroom with wash basin and WC.
Kitchen extensively equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
Dining room which adjoins the kitchen. This light and airy room has a pine table, six chairs and views over the garden.
Double bedroom with pine furniture and lovely views over the front garden and village.
Twin bedroom with two single beds and views over the front garden and river.
Modern bathroom with bath, power shower over, wash basin and WC.
Outside: The front garden has a long private lawned area which is screened by trees and shrubs leading down to the small winterbourne stream and garden seat. There is a small lawned area and rockery border immediately in front of the house. The rear garden offers an enclosed paved area and grass with a gate that leads to a footpath. Barbeque, garden table and chairs are provided for guests enjoyment.
Additional information: Prices are inclusive of electricity, bed linen, towels and central heating during winter months. Prices are based on four guests. A small extra charge may be applicable for one to two extra guests at the owner's discretion. Logs and coal are provided in the winter. Tumble-dryer facilities available upon request.
