The Gower Peninsular, Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is renowned for its magnificent coastline popular with walkers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Wagtails is a charming holiday apartment located in an idyllic position on the village green at the top of the village of Llanmadoc overlooking Llanmadoc/Whitford beach. It is only a short stroll to the local inn and local shop and is also on the bus route for those who want to use public transport. Walkers too will not be disapointed as the cottage is situated on the edge of some of Gower's best walks.

There are many attractions to see and things to do: view handmade stoneware and local pottery at Cheriton; walk to the Bronze Age hill fort (the Bulwark) at Llanmadoc Hill - Gower's second highest peak; walk out to Whiteford Lighthouse; if you enjoy fishing, try your luck at catching sea-bass, flounder and occasional plaice off the local beach or collect cockles and mussels and then end the day by take a refreshing pint of Tomos Watkin's Chwarae Teg or Marstons Pedigree at The Britannia Inn, before sampling their a la Carte menu.
To summarise, locally you can enjoy fishing, surfing, golf, paragliding, swimming, jet skiing, bird watching, walking, mountain biking, yachting, canoeing, archery, rock climbing, horse riding, snorkeling and even scuba diving.
