Leadon View Barn is positioned in the peaceful countryside of the Leadon Valley and conveniently located close to the Malvern Hills, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham Spa and the cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester. The barn is perfectly placed for exploring the area and its many attractions and beautifully designed for spending relaxing days in.
Comprehensively equipped, the barn has been designed and developed by its present owners to provide holiday accommodation of a high standard that is well placed for motorway access. It will normally take just over two hours to reach Leadon View Barn by car from London and just under an hour from Birmingham or Cardiff. The nearest train station is Gloucester, a ten minute drive away and coaches call at the nearby towns where you can reach the barn by taking a short taxi ride.
Ledbury is nearby and just over the border in Herefordshire. It is one of England’s text book market towns, full of wonderful timber framed buildings showing some fine examples of black and white architecture. Three miles to the south of Newent lies May Hill which rises to 971 feet, providing magnificent views over Gloucestershire, Malvern Hills, The Cotswolds and the plain of Hereford, extending beyond to Bristol on a clear day.
In complete contrast to the Wye Valley and the Forest, the area provides a pleasant mixture of rolling farmland hills, market gardens, vineyards and black and white timbered buildings. The Leadon Vale is a quintessentially unspoilt English area centred around the picturesque town of Newent.
