The Haven is a charming stone holiday cottage that nestles in the scenic hamlet of Kirkton of Balmerino on the southern banks of the Tay. It enjoys a secluded and peaceful position that affords wonderful views over The Tay to the Sidlaws beyond, yet it is just a fifteen minute drive from the vibrant city life of Dundee.
Its location is perfect for either relaxing or to use as a base for exploring the area. Just a twenty five minute drive takes you to the historic town of St Andrews which offers a whole host of attractions and activities to enjoy including world renowned golf courses. Perth with its excellent shopping, heritage and culture, along with nearby Scone Palace, is a mere forty five minutes drive away. Many guests also enjoy exploring the quaint fishing villages of the East Neuk of Fife which provide a variety of festivals during the summer months.
For guests wanting to travel further afield, Edinburgh can be reached within approximately one hour and Glasgow around one and a half hours by car.
The Haven is a perfect base for walkers and cyclists where you can explore three hundred miles of cycle routes along peaceful country lanes, forest tracks, disused railway lines and commuter routes in towns. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy numerous world renowned golf courses that are within just a half hours' drive from the cottage. There are various types of fishing available in Fife and historians will appreciate the ruins of Balmerino Abbey, a Cistercian Monastery built in 1229, right on the doorstep.
Alternatively, simply laze on one of the beautiful beaches within the area or enjoy a meal at one of the numerous restaurants and cafes in St Andrews and Dundee.

The Haven is adjacent to Little Haven (which sleeps up to three) and accommodates up to six guests. It is built in stone, to retain the traditional character of its neighbour and has a shared driveway (with Little Haven), and its own private garden, with beautiful, uninterrupted views over the Tay, towards Dundee and the Perthshire hills.
This charming holiday cottage maintains a warm, cosy atmosphere and has oak flooring throughout the ground floor.
Accommodation is over two floors and comprises:

One en-suite bathroom.

Dining hall.
Sitting room with television, video, DVD, stereo and comfortable seating.

Additional information: Oil-fired central heating. Garden furniture and barbecue provided. Electricity, heating, cleaning/laundry products, bed linen and towels are included in the rental price. All of the rooms look out over the gardens and have views of the river.
