Wintershead occupies a remote and stunning position within the Exmoor National Park and provides a holiday retreat that is far away from the stresses of modern life - a tame beautiful wilderness covering some two hundred and sixty five square miles of stunning scenery which is home to red deer, the famous Exmoor ponies and buzzards seen soaring up above.

The owners aim is to provide a holiday retreat where you can get away from it all and enjoy top quality holiday accommodation in spectacular surroundings.

There are five luxurious holiday cottages set around a courtyard. Each one has been imaginatively converted to provide high quality holiday accommodaiton that retains much original charm and character.

Beautifull converted from old farm buildings, each holiday cottage has everything you will need for a relaxing and memorable holiday.

    Fern Cottage is a superb one bedroomed holiday cottage that is situated on the end of the old threshing barn, affording lovely moorland views.

    The accommodation benefits from:

    • Full central heating.
    • Separate laundry room at Wintershead which is fully equipped with automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and guests pay phone. Ample parking is available and there are eleven acres of grounds to enjoy which provide a safe environment for children to play in.
    • There is a games room which is centrally heated, offering table tennis, pool, local information etc.

    Additional information: Upon arrival you will find the beds made with freshly laundered linen (duvets, with blankets available). Pets welcome by arrangement at a nominal cost. Horse stabling is available if you would like to bring your horse on holiday with you (available with a five acre paddock for grazing and DIY livery with straw - please call the owner for further information and costs).
