The Granary is in an idyllic position and is a spacious, charming three bedroom holiday home that stands in the grounds of the owner's property in a rural location. It is approached from a quiet country lane and affords spectacular views over its own land and the rolling countryside beyond.
This is a perfect location for anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday and a place to escape and unwind. There are also numerous attractions within easy reach in both the counties of Sussex and Kent.
The world famous Glyndebourne Opera House in the quaint village of Glynde is just twenty minutes away, as is the ancient Spa town of Tunbridge Wells with its great selection of shops and eating establishments. Historical Lewes and the famous Harveys Brewery is twenty minutes and it is approximately thirty five minutes to Brighton and Eastbourne. Alfriston and the Druiselles Zoo are nearby as is '1066' Country including Hastings, Battle, historical Rye and nearby Camber Sands with its expansive sandy Beach.
The local village of High Hurstwood offers a Pub, Church and Village Hall and this is an excellent walking area with extensive footpaths accessed from the farm. There is also very easy access to Ashdown Forest (with its Winnie the Pooh connections) which is a perfect place for a picnic and provides further good walking opportunities.
For those wanting to travel a little further afield, the local train station at Buxted is within ten minutes of The Granary and offers a regular train service to London. You can also enjoy a day trip to Dieppe from Newhaven Port which is only a thirty five minute drive.

The Granary has been recently converted into an extremely spacious three bedroom holiday home that provides a good quality of accommodation for up to five guests.

Downstairs single bedroom with wrought iron bed, cream wardrobe and chest of drawers. Adjacent to this bedroom is a new Victorian style bathroom with roll top bath.
Feature wooden staircase leads to a very large and comfortable lounge carpeted throughout with two leather settees, further settee/chair, two coffee tables, chest, television, DVD, music centre, Gas cast iron stove, bookshelf and small side tables/lamps.
Extremely spacious carpeted twin room with wrought iron beds, fitted cupboard, dressing table, full length mirror, television and wonderful views.
Large double carpeted bedroom suite with similar breathtaking views, wrought iron bed, dressing table, chest of drawers, chair, full length mirror, television and en suite shower room.
Outside: To the side and front of the Granary is a private fenced garden and patio with BBQ facilities and garden furniture, where you can enjoy the glorious views. A security gate allows access to the driveway with secure parking for up to two cars immediately adjacent to The Granary.
The owner's immaculate grounds and gardens are fenced with post and rail and their horses, dogs and chickens (offering free range eggs to guests) are visible, but not intrusive!
Additional information: Due to the owners livestock, pets can not be accepted. The owners run a strict no smoking policy which they ask guests to kindly respect. Winter heating is charged at £65 per week during October to May. All linen is included. Towels are charged at £4 per guest if required.
Children: Regretfully the property is not suitable for children under six due to the pond.
