The Arches has been beautifully converted from the traditional old cartshed into a spacious three bedroom holiday cottage that can comfortably accommodate up to six guests.

It is tucked away down its own drive and located on a working farm amongst beautiful rolling countryside.  With the City of Edinburgh being only thirty five minutes by car and the coast being just fifteen minutes, The Arches makes a good base for exploring the beautiful East Lothian countryside.

East Lothian is one of Scotland's best kept secrets with its broad open plains, fine stretch of coastline with miles of sandy beaches and gentle rolling hills.  Since Victorian times people have been returning to this beautiful area and finding peace and tranquility here.

For those who enjoy golf, you are in for a real treat with over twelve courses within the surrounding area, including championship courses at Muirfield and Gullane and other good courses at Craiglaw, Aberlady, Gifford and North Berwick.  

Locally there is a distillery just five miles up the road from the cottage, which itself is located two miles from the picturesque village of Gifford offering two pubs serving good food and a friendly local shop with post office.
