Tower Farm offers two delightful holiday cottages which are available for long or short breaks and can accommodate between ten to twenty guests (10 in each cottage or 20 if both are hired together). The cottages are located near the village of Cockburnspath on the spectacular, east coast of the Scottish Borders, close to East Lothian, the neighbouring county, which is famous for its world class golf courses and beautiful clean beaches.
These beautiful cottages provide an ideal place for a relaxing holiday and are also perfect for using as a base to explore the area with the City of Edinburgh being just fifty minutes away by car and Newcastle within one hour.
Tower Farm is a great location for you to explore the Lothians’, Scottish Borders and also Northumberland.
The cottages are perfect for small or large groups wanting to get away for a relaxing break or to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or reunion.
The area offers a wide range of activities to participate in and many interesting places to visit. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, golf, surfing, fishing, diving, horse riding or prefer to explore the abundance of historic sites, local beauty spots, castles, visitor attractions or stately homes - there is something here for everyone.
Walking - the area boasts picturesque scenery and offers good walking countryside with an excellent mix of both stunning coastlines and rolling countryside. There are a range of walks to suit all abilities and energy levels with a good selection in the immediate location.
Golf - this is 'golfers heaven' with the highest concentration of links courses to be found anywhere (some championship hosts) including North Berwick West Links, Dunbar, Gullane, Luffness New, Muirfield, Kilspindie, Longniddry and Craigielaw.
Edinburgh - the capital city of Scotland makes a wonderful day trip with its great shops; excellent selection of restaurants, cafe's, pubs and bistros; wonderful architecture and cultural festivals. It is only a twenty minute train ride from Dunbar station (which is just eight miles from the farm) or fifty minutes by car.
Local beaches - The coastline from Edinburgh to Northumberland is renowned for its stunning beaches and interesting craggy cliffs. The local beaches of Coldingham, Pease Bay, Whitesands, Belhaven Bay and coastline of St Abbs and Dunbar hold an excellent reputation for great diving and good surfing. Just one mile from the farm is Peas Bay where the first surf club in Scotland started.
East Lothian - with its picturesque villages and towns of North Berwick, Aberlady, Stenton, Gullane, Gifford and Garvald. It also offers many places of interest including the Scottish Sea Bird Centre, Belhaven Brewery, Glenkinckie Distillery and Concorde at the Museum of Flight.
Northumberland - A trip to this area would not be complete without visiting Berwick upon Tweed, Holy Island, Lindisfarne and Bamburgh and Alnwik Castle and Gardens.

The Farmhouse is the original farmhouse and offers guests a good amount of space and a nice sized dining room able to sit twelve guests. Accommodation comprises:
Ground floor
Front door entrance into hall way with good cupboard space and utility area with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Good sized kitchen with Stanley range, fridge freezer, electric cooker, dishwasher and kitchen table seating eight.
Dining room that can seat up to twelve guests with windows looking out to the garden.
Small toilet and wash hand basin.
Large sitting room with coal fire, TV, DVD and windows looking out to the garden.
Ground floor double bedroom with window looking out to the garden.
Upstairs
Large Master bedroom with excellent wardrobe space and windows looking out to the garden.

Garden - a lovely walled garden with a large grass area to the back of the house that is ideal for children and a sheltered rockery and walled barbeque area with table and chairs. Garden shed available for storing sports equipment.

Red Gauntlet is a beautiful traditional, red sandstone, newly built holiday home with spacious rooms providing a relaxed, comfortable home for your holiday break. This house is ideal for adult groups because of the size of the bedrooms and the house is heated by under floor heating. Accommodation comprises:
Ground floor
Large modern kitchen with cooking range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kitchen island for preparation and a table that seats ten guests.
Utility room at back entrance with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Large, comfortable sitting room with TV, DVD, CD player and French windows with views towards the coast.
Ground floor double bedroom.
Shower room with shower, toilet and wash hand basin.
Welcoming spacious entrance and hall.
Upstairs
Three twin/double bedrooms - 1 room with views to the coast.
Master bedroom with en-suite shower room and stunning views to the Berwickshire coastline.
Large family bathroom with separate shower and bath.
Garden - well maintained grassed garden area out to the back of the house which is accessed from the kitchen and there is also space out the front from the sitting room. There is a barbeque area and outside table and chairs, along with a garage for storing bikes, golf clubs, surf boards and hanging space to dry items.

Additional information: Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are included within the price. Short breaks may be available (weekend and mid-week), please enquire with owner. One dog is welcome per house (must be house trained and sleep in the kitchen) - extra cost of £40 per week. There are also dog kennels across the road Pease Lye. Cots can be provided and child's high chair upon request but must be pre booked. There is plenty of parking available for both properties.
