Lammermuir Cottage is located in the beautiful East Lothian countryside nestling close to the foot of the Lammermuir Hills. The former grieves cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard to provide modern holiday accommodation that can accommodate up to six guests.

Enclosed in its own private garden with views to the Lammermuir’s, Lammermuir Cottage provides the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding countryside, coastal areas and the Scottish Borders.  Despite its rural location, it is conveniently located for visiting the City of Edinburgh, with it being just twenty miles from the front door.

The surrounding area offers plenty of things to see and do and is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities.  There are nineteen golf courses within twenty miles, along with other activities including hill walking, surfing, horse-riding, fishing, scenic drives, whisky-tasting, cycling and castles to explore. Should you want to have a rest from cooking and decide to eat out there are numerous restaurants scattered throughout East Lothian to satisfy all budgets and appetites.

Set amongst a working farm at the foot of the Lammermuir hills, Lammermuir Cottage is positioned in a tranquil area which is a haven for wildlife and farm animals offering plenty of opportunities for bird-watching, cycling and walking. 

The pretty village of Gifford is approximately four miles from the cottage and provides two pubs/restaurants and a local store for stocking up on provisions. The ancient market town of Haddington is eight miles away and provides additional eating / drinking establishments, numerous sightseeing attractions and a large supermarket.  A little further afield is the lovely coastal town of North Berwick (less than thirty minutes away), or alternatively head South, into the beautiful Scottish borders countryside where beautiful scenery and historical houses are in abundance.
