Three charming self catering country cottages are available for rental at East Greystone farm on the outskirts of Gainford, near Darlington, County Durham.
These charming cottages are created from a delightful stone barn conversion. Original features and stylish, modern finishes are tastefully combined to ensure your stay is both comfortable and luxurious.
With the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, East Coast and cities of Durham, Newcastle and York all within easy driving distance, this is an ideal base from which to visit the sights of North East England.
Spectacular waterfalls, sweeping moorlands, magnificent castles and ancient market towns are all to be found in Teesdale.
Nearby bridleways, footpaths, riverside walks, golf and fishing provide ample entertainment and opportunity to explore the countryside.
Within one mile the villages of Piercebridge and Gainford provide friendly local services including newsagents, general stores, butcher, post office, hairdresser, 'Chippie', organic farm shop, doctors surgery and three churches. There is an excellent selection of country pubs and quality restaurants in the area.

Entering Bothy Cottage you will immediately be charmed by its tasteful interior design and rustic appeal. The combined sitting, dining and kitchen areas form one large barn room. High, beamed ceilings give a feeling of space, whilst the cast-iron log-effect stove draws warmth into the room. Wooden floors further enhance the living area.
CD Stereo, TV and video ensure that you will never be bored whatever the weather. A well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar provides the latest modern appliances and the overall feel is one of stylish practicality.
The double bedroom has a wonderful solid pine bed and leads to an en suite bathroom which is light, spacious and tastefully finished with large slate tiles, over bath shower and shaver point. Throughout elegant touches have been achieved by investment in quality furnishings and finishes, the overall aim being one of comfortable country life.
