The Old Milking Parlour is one of two lovely holiday cottages located at Pollardscombe Farm, in the wonderful South Hams area of Devon. The cottages provide a peaceful retreat where you can relax and unwind in a tranquil setting (there are also two shire horses to admire at the farm called Barney and Beauty!). Conveniently located, the farm is within easy reach of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmoor, with plenty of interesting places and attractions to visit nearby.

There are fantastic walking opportunities with both countryside and coastal walks starting from the cottages. There are also superb beaches closeby with many offering a quiet place where you can escape the crowds.

Slapton is a peaceful village approximately one mile from Pollardscombe Farm. The village offers a village store where you can stock up on provisions, two good traditional real ale pubs and a 13th Century church. There is also a beach at Slapton (approximately one and a half miles from the cottages) stretching for some three miles, along with a National Nature Reserve.

The popular towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe are all just a short drive along the lovely coastline with much to offer including fine restaurants, interesting shops, boat trips, sailing and much more. Alternatively, drive a little way inland to Dartmoor - a wonderful dramatic landscape of sweeping moorland, windswept Tors, pretty villages and wooded valleys. Not only is Dartmoor a haven for wildlife but it also provides endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.
