Formerly a derelict barn, Swallows Nest has been lovingly refurbished into a luxury green five star holiday cottage, with the lightest of carbon footprints. It offers a contemporary spacious open plan living area which includes a fully fitted kitchen and two deluxe double en suite bedrooms.
Set in thirty acres of the owners own land, Swallow's Nest is in a beautiful unspoilt position in the Blackdown Hills (AONB), south-east Devon. It offers some lovely views of rolling countryside and farms nestled into valleys and is set above the historic villages of Luppitt and Upottery.
Swallows Nest provides an ideal base to explore this beautiful area and the opportunity to come and experience a “green” way of living in true luxury. Here you can explore the owners private Devon “county Wildlife site” and walk the woodland with numerous species of wild flowers along with wildlife including birds, bats, foxes and deer. Why not recline in one of the sun loungers available in the beautiful gardens, laze in a hammock in the shade of the trees or sit on the deck by the pond. Alternatively take the challenge of wild swimming in the natural spring fed lake or see the progress of the organic forest garden.
The local area offers excellent walks, bird watching, cycling or star gazing, along with the opportunity to indulge yourself in local activities and great food. You can borrow bicycles and enjoy cycling the area or you may prefer to walk to the "Heart Ridge" for some dramatic views.
