Stable Lodge is a Grade II listed barn conversion situated in the depths of beautiful countryside within Mid-Devon on a 273 acre family run farm. It is positioned at the entrance of Hele Barton Farm and benefits from its own enclosed garden which is perfect for relaxing in. It is an ideal country retreat for families or couples looking to escape from the pressures of every day life.
Whether you are looking for a short break or a longer holiday, the owners will be happy to accommodate you and if you want a real rest, you can book breakfast to be served in the farmhouse.
Stable Lodge may be suitable for people with limited mobility as it has wide doorways, a wet room and a single bed can be placed downstairs should it be requested (please enquire with the owners for full details and to check suitability).
Centrally positioned, the holiday cottage is an ideal base for visiting the many attractions and places of interest this area has to offer. The landscape is incredibly varied where you can enjoy the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor to the rolling coombes of Exmoor, and the long sandy beaches of the rugged North coast to the quaint fishing villages and hidden coves of the South coast - there truly is something for everyone.
Country and outdoor pursuits are popular in this part of Devon with many shoots and other outdoor activities in the area. In spring point-to-points can be experienced locally and in autumn there are local ploughing matches providing fun for the whole family. For those who enjoy walking, there are some bracing walks locally which will set you up well to sample the local food on offer and the nearest pub is just half a mile away and within walking distance.

Downstairs
Entrance hall, leading off to a disabled toilet and wheel-in shower, with a wheeled shower chair and hand rails.
Fitted oak kitchen/diner with washer/dryer, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric halogen hob, cooker and pine farmhouse table and chairs for up to 8 people.
Sitting room with colour TV, Freeview, DVD, video, radio/CD player, 3 piece suite and sprung double sofa bed with patio doors leading to the garden.
Upstairs
Two large family ensuite bedrooms. One with double four poster bed and single bed, the other with a double bed and a single bed with guest bed under.
Both bathrooms have baths with electric showers over.
Additional information: Prices include oil, electricity, linen and VAT. The holiday cottage is centrally heated throughout. A cot, high chair and stair gate can be provided upon request.
