Oakwood Farm Cottage provides top quality, spacious holiday accommodation for two guests in one of the most desirable unspoilt areas of Devon.
The cottage has exceptional views across a wide expanse of the Devonshire countryside and whilst it is within easy reach of the popular town of Tiverton and the City of Exeter, it occupies a peaceful position with no audible traffic noise or visible light pollution.
Oakwood Farm Cottage is semi detached and located on a quiet working farm set amongst ninety acres of farm and woodland. Outside there is a large walled garden with a gas BBQ, patio tables, chairs and one of the best views in Devon - the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine after a fun day exploring the area!
Visitors are welcome to explore and walk around the farm and it is possible to do a number of different beautiful walks from the cottage without needing to use the car, making it an ideal starting point for those who enjoy walking or cycling.
The picturesque village of Bickleigh is one and half miles away and there is good pub within walking distance. Bickleigh is famous for the Fisherman’s Cot Pub (which is said to be where Simon and Garfunkel wrote “Bridge Over Troubled Waters”) and its packhorse bridge over the River Exe. It offers two pubs, a restaurant, a historic mill, Bickleigh Castle and the Yearlstone Vineyard.
Oakwood Farm Cottage is centrally located for visiting both the rugged beaches and coastline of North Devon and also the more gentle and sheltered coastline of South Devon.

Accommodation is exceptionally spacious and arranged on two floors as follows:
Downstairs is a large kitchen, diner and lounge with heavily mullioned widow, framing the beautiful view across the valley. Patio doors take you out into the large walled garden and patio. The kitchen has a Belfast sink with drainer, spacious cupboards and an electric cooker. The living area has a three piece suite, TV, DVD player and dining table and chairs.
A spiral staircase leads to the large bedroom with its own en suite shower room. The upstairs area has four windows with beautiful views, a king size bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and the en suite shower room.
Additional information: Pillows and a quilt are provided but please bring your own towels and bed linen. There is ample parking immediately to the side of the property. All areas of the cottage have WiFi access. Central heating is fitted.
