Mariners' Cottage is a cosy beamed fisherman's cottage in a sought after position in Irsha Street in West Appledore. It is wonderfully situated on the sea wall with glorious views over the wide and ever changing Torridge Estuary, with its fishing and sailing boats and extensive birdlife. Hear the roaring of the Atlantic breakers, the ripple of the tide lapping the sea wall and the call of the gulls; watch the sun setting into the ocean; stroll along the quaint quayside with its welcoming shops and indulge in a Devon cream tea; relax in one of the waterside pubs, well known for their excellent food, just two minutes walk from the Cottage.
Explore the rock pools, 'crab' over the garden wall, or visit the long golden sandy beach 1 mile away for swimming, surfing and sandcastles. Bike along the Tarka Trail, take a picnic along the North Devon coastal path or play a round of golf at the oldest links course in the country or just lounge in the garden and watch the boats and birds go by!

Accommodation and facilities comprise of:
Ground floor double bedroom with king size bed, double doors opening onto the garden and estuary / sea views over the wall.
Upstairs double bedroom with super king size or twin beds according to requirements.
Upstairs twin bedded room.
Upstairs sitting room with fantastic views through French windows out over the estuary towards the sea bar; sofa bed for use at your option. Additional chairs and CD Player/Radio.
Oak beamed sitting room near ground floor entrance with comfortable sofa chairs, TV/video and gas fire as required over and above the very adequate central heating.
Dining area with table and chairs to seat up to eight beyond the kitchen with door into the garden and with the magnificent ever changing views over the sea wall.
Fully equipped kitchen adjoining the dining area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine/dryer and fully equipped for every day cuisine necessities!
Bathroom with basin, bath, WC and a Shower that really works!
Additional WC on the ground floor, near the bedroom, sitting room and kitchen, there is an additional WC with basin and wall cupboard.
Walk in to 45, Irsha Street, through the front door to the atmosphere of the 200 hundred year old fisherman’s cottage and immediately become embroiled in the history of Appledore and the ever-changing estuary life over the sea wall.
Additional information: Sleeps up to 6 people plus cot - possibly up to 8 with children. All bedrooms & living rooms have full central heating as required. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate available if required.
